The New Digital SAT: How It’s Changed, Why It’s Important, and What to Do

This workshop will explain how the SAT has changed, how “test-optional” schools are treating the test, and how students can better prepare for it. Participants will understand the digital test’s structural changes and the new logistics of taking the test. Participants will also understand how “test optional” is impacting general college admissions practices and what that means for students taking the SAT. Finally, participants will leave with a few high-level, universal strategies that will shape both how students prepare and how they take the test.

From Ideation to Execution: How to Design Postsecondary Access & Success Programs with Fidelity

This session will provide attendees with a framework for designing and implementing holistic postsecondary access and success programs that are effective and equitable. Participants will learn how to: Identify and assess the needs of their target population Leverage community partnerships to meet the needs of students and programs Use project management tools to support Implement programs with fidelity and sustainability Evaluate program outcomes and make necessary adjustments The session will be led by an experienced practitioner who has designed and implemented successful postsecondary access and success programs for over 20 years. Attendees will have the opportunity to share their own experiences and learn from the insights of others. Attendee Learning Goals: Define holistic postsecondary access and success and explain its importance Identify the key components of effective and equitable postsecondary access and success programs Develop a framework for designing and implementing postsecondary access and success programs Apply fidelity principles to ensure the effective implementation of postsecondary access and success programs
